5/6 D&E - Science

We’ve had fun investigating whether different types of water affect plant growth.

Types of water used were:

• Tap
• Organic (we added squashed banana to the water)
• Salty
• Acidic (we added vinegar to the water)

 We discovered that the organic and tap water promoted the best plant growth and seeds did not germinate in salty or acidic water.

Students are looking forward to extending their skills by completing their own investigations in term 3.
