Year 9-10 Digital Technology
It continues to be busy in Year 9-10 Digital Technology space. Students are continuing to hone their skills using HTML and CSS coding languages to create and control Web Page content and designs. Other students have extended their skills using the coding languages C++ and C# which is the language of gaming and computer program designs, now able to run their code in a virtual space. While plenty of language coding is happening, other students have enabled their passions with digital animation programs Pivot, artistic animation programs with Krita and OpenToonz. Web design using CANVA, and 3D printables using Tinkercad.
With all this activity, we have made a space for 8 of the talented coders to travel to Hobart to the Australia Federal Police re_BOOTCMP conference in conjunction with Tas TAFE, where the students can compete in gaming against the AFP, and code in a Cyber Security space. They will hear from top security advisors, engage in interactive activities with the AFP Cyber Security team and look at future career pathways.
