This term in Drama, students in Year 7 and 8 will be focusing on characterisation-the art of creating and developing a believable character. Throughout the term, students will refine their acting skills by exploring the Elements of Drama, including body movements, voice techniques, tension, and space. These tools will help them bring their performances to life.

Grade 7 students will enhance their acting abilities by performing a short scene in small groups. This will allow them to apply their newfound skills in characterisation and teamwork.

Grade 8 students will build on their understanding of the Elements of Drama by working on duologues - scripted two-person scenes. This will give them an opportunity to dive deeper into dialogue delivery and character interactions.
