Year 5-6C McNaughton
This year in 5/6C one of our favourite subjects has been Writer’s Workshop. To us, Writer’s Workshop Is a way to express your emotions and let your imagination fly. You get the chance to plan, draft and publish your thoughts into an amazing piece of work. The first step to writing a piece is to find a seed or idea that you love and would like to write about. Then comes the planning stage, where you brainstorm your ideas and get a glimpse of what your writing might look like when it is finished. After that you draft the main idea of your text into its first copy. The fourth step is to conference with our wonderful teacher Mrs Mc Naughton. She gives us tips on how to upgrade our work to something even better. Then we publish our work into the final copy and pop it into our Writer’s Gift. So far into our school year we have each unpacked at least one seed and started a draft, but we still have much to come from the year ahead.
