DECYP Volunteer Requirements
As part of our commitment to being a child safe organisation, everyone in our school needs to complete compulsory safeguarding training each year and hold a Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card. This card should be carried with you when visiting the school.
We value your involvement at Penguin District School and hope that you can complete the mandatory requirements before volunteering.

Working with Vulnerable People
DECYP requires all (volunteers and parent) help over 16 years* to hold current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) before they begin work. This includes volunteers and parent help.
There are limited situations where RWVP is not required – see the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Policy for further information.
This requirement supports the safeguarding of children and young people.
*Anyone that is 16 years of age or over and fits the RWVP requirements outlined on the Consumer, Building and Occupational Services (CBOS) website.
