Dear Families of Year 6 students,

 

Year 7 Orientation Day – Wednesday 3 December

We are excited to welcome our Year 6 students for their final transition into Year 7 in 2026!

All Year 6 students are invited to attend our Year 7 Orientation Day on Wednesday 3 December. This day will give students a feel for what a typical day in Year 7 is like.

  • Start time: 8:50 am
  • Finish time: 2:50 pm
  • Uniform: Please wear your current school’s full uniform
  • Arrival: The school building opens at 8:20 am. Students can meet in the Year 10 area or drop their bags and wait outside until the music plays at 8:50 am.

Since our Year 10 students will be away at Hellyer College, we will be using their space for the day.

We encourage students to travel to school using the method they plan to use in 2026. Bus details were shared at the Information Evening.

Phones and Smart Watches
Phones must be off and away all day. Smart watches should be on flight mode or do not disturb. Phones will be collected and stored safely for the day.

PE Lesson
Students will need a change of clothes for PE:

  • T-shirt (not a singlet)
  • Shorts, leggings or skort
  • Socks and runners

Lunch Orders
Students can order lunch in one of three ways:

  1. Pay with cash or card at the canteen window before school
  2. Use the Qkr app (Penguin students only)

All students can buy snacks at recess and lunch using cash or card (no phones). Not all items are available at the counter, so we recommend ordering lunch and buying only snacks at break times.
